The history of Atlantis provides a cautionary tale for modern man caught between self-interest and enlightenment.

Before he died, Sleeping Prophet Edgar Cayce made thousands of psychic readings about the history of Atlantis. Placing himself in a trance, Cayce delivered readings that shed light on what has long been assumed to be a legend.

For Cayce, Atlantis was more than myth; it was the history of the first human civilization capable of advanced technology, capable of harnessing the power of quartz technology and the electromagnetic field, a civilization eerily similar to the 21st century. In the unfolding of Atlantis’ history lies a lesson for modern culture.

Crystal Technology in Atlantis

Cayce claimed that the Atlanteans were well-versed in technology that harnessed the power of the quantum world; this included the use of crystals and sound waves for healing, elevators and connecting tunnels that operated by compressed air and steam, quartz crystal science that was used to mine gold, copper and silver from the earth.

According to Frank Joseph, Atlanteans were adept at the use of silicon chips at levels unrivaled in the modern world. The Crystal Skull, for example, was cut with such infinite precision that “no known modern tool could have replicated the job.” Atlanteans were familiar with the amplification power of crystals in laser technology and memory chips.

Evidence also shows that Atlanteans made extensive use of mass mental telepathy, psycho-kinesis and astral projection into fourth dimensional consciousness.

Atlantis' Fall from Grace

If the Atlanteans were such a highly civilized and technologically developed people, what precipitated their fall?

In Critias, Plato claimed that the Atlanteans were descended from the god Poseidon. Divinity was in their genes and as long as this”divine nature” lasted, the Atlanteans lived in peace and coherence. However, this divine part became diluted with crossbreeding and union with mortals. In time, people forgot their divinity and “their human addiction to the visible world” led to their cataclysmic destruction.

According to Cayce, two rival parties fought for control of the Atlanteans in its final days. The Children of the Law of One wanted to return to a spiritual stewardship of the land based on natural laws. The other group, the Sons of Belial, wanted to exploit natural resources for material gain.

The chief focus of their conflict was a third class of dull, half-awake sub-humans used by the Sons of Belial for slave labor. The Children of the Law of One wanted to enlighten these sub–beings by raising their consciousness; the Sons of Belial wanted to keep them in ignorance and exploit them for their own gain.

Frank Joseph claims that Atlantis witnessed three seismic upheavals over the course of several millennia before its final cataclysmic destruction described by Plato in his dialogues. Mass migration took Atlanteans across North Africa to Egypt, a situation confirmed by a 1955 subsurface testing of the Sahara Desert that established the fact that the desert had once been fertile land able to support the lives of nomadic refugees.

In light of current geopolitical conflicts, Atlantis carries a lesson for modern man. Like the sub-humans in Atlantis, man is caught between two choices — self-interest or enlightenment.
