Benjamin Creme is visiting the US in July and August, giving free talks about the emergence of a World Teacher, Maitreya.

Benjamin Creme has been traveling the world and giving talks about the emergence of a World Teacher called Maitreya and a group of enlightened Masters, the Masters of Wisdom, since the 1970s. He has written several books on the subject and is the editor of the Share International magazine, published by the Share International organization and read in over 70 countries.

Who Is Maitreya the World Teacher?

According to Creme, different religions are waiting for the coming of a new teacher (Christians for the second coming of the Christ, Muslims for Imam Mahdi, Buddhists for the Maitreya Buddha, Hindus for a new incarnation of Krishna) but these are all just different names for Maitreya, the World Teacher for the Age of Aquarius.

Creme says that Maitreya is already in the world, currently living in London; he will reportedly make his views public in a television interview that has been requested by a major American television network.

According to the Share International website, Maitreya is not a religious leader, but "an educator in the broadest sense." Maitreya is said to be on earth to "inspire us to create a new era based on sharing and justice, so that all may have the basic necessities of life: food, shelter, health care, and education."

Maitreya will "inspire humanity to see itself as one family, and create a civilization based on sharing, economic and social justice, and global cooperation."

Maitreya's message is, in short, "share and save the world." His first concern will reportedly involve efforts to save the millions of people who are starving to death. His list of priorities includes an adequate supply of food and adequate housing for all, and health care and education as universal rights.

Benjamin Creme's Talks and Workshops

Benjamin Creme's talks and writings are linked to the teachings of the 19th century theosophist Helena Petrovna Blavatsky, founder of the Theosophical Society, as well as those of Alice A. Bailey. Creme himself was introduced to esoteric teachings from an early age, and started his public talks about the emergence of Maitreya after he was contacted by one of the Masters of Wisdom.

The criticism Creme has received from fundamentalist Christian groups (who reportedly see him as the antichrist) probably only increases interest in his work. Creme himself doesn't accept payment from his work, including the books he has written.

Benjamin Creme's upcoming lectures in the US are listed here. He also teaches Transmission Meditation workshops. All lectures and workshops are free of charge.

What an intersting context for the times we are living through. If ever there was a call from humanity for advice and guidance this must be the time.

I went to hear Creme lecture and meditate in NYC in 2006. I attended 2 meditations with him and around 250 others--which is alot if you think about it. The energy was amazing and even during the lecture I was in an altered state because of the heightened energy. I learned later that Creme has the ability to be 'overshadowed' by the energy of Maitreya, the new world teacher, and he transmits this to the audience ,in accordance to their ability to receive. It was a blessing. It convinced me of the truth of the story of the emergence of the world teacher. I have been more calm since then because I know we have extraordinary help in this troubling times. It is clear to me that a plan is unfolding just as it was designed to and we are protected and guided and looked after. So that we can soon be led to remake all the outworn institutions. One by one we will pool our talents and it will all be shown to us how to proceed. The entire world has always worked by the inspiration of the Masters, I just didn't realize this. Of course since hearing the lecture, I have since read all Creme's books, so now I have a grasp of how the world really works. It all began from the lecture. Quite a rare opportunity.

The message to "share and save the world" is probably the most apt, most important message for our times. Nothing else has worked, and nothing else will.

The basis for the concept of Sharing is cooperation, recognition of the subjective oneness of humanity, and realization that only by coming together in unity can we, people everywhere, solve our most pressing problems. This is the promise of the Aquarian Age. The end of competition as a way of life, and the dismantling of gross and pervasive commercialism as the mode of operation will alleviate the fears under which people everywhere labour.

As Creme's Master writes, sharing engenders trust and compassion. Without sharing, there is no justice. Without justice there will be no
peace. Without peace, there will be no future, for we will eventually destroy ourselves and our planet through nuclear war.

Creme writes that there are industrialists, financiers, business people all over the world who are disciples of the Masters, and who already have a blueprint for sharing the world's resources so that all may have the basic necessities of life: food, shelter, healthcare and education. Creme talks about that in his lectures. When the produce, the technology, the science, the educational resources of the world are shared equally by all nations, each will have the wherewithall to develop the capital to create self-sustaining institutions which reflect the unique quality of that nation's cultural heritage.

This is a huge topic which needs airing all over the world so that people might have a chance to think about it and realize that they will be losing only the fear and stress of materialism, and will be gaining the leisure and peace of mind which enables us to grow spiritually.

I attended a Creme lecture and meditation in San Francisco in 2008. His message about sharing bringing peace seems like the only thing that will work to end worldwide hunger and injustices , which in a lot of cases is the main cause of a lot of uprisings in countries where there are food shortages and lack of drinking water and other basics. It would work in the USA and anywhere where there is a big gap between the rich and poor. This concept of sharing will certainly help us build a world ready for New Age thinking.

Excellent article! I have read Share International magazine since 1986. I also participated in Transmission Meditation (TM)in New York with Benjamin Creme. We have a weekly TM in London, ON if anyone shows up.
Good things are happening in the world; far more than the inept media likes to portray. When we manifest the principle of sharing, the gifts to mankind will be astounding. It is the only path to peace.
