Physiological Signatures of PrecognitionPrecognitive Skin and Heart Responses and Brain Wave Activity
The body's autonomic system responds unconsciously to future events well before the mind is conscious of the event.
The left brain’s analytical tendencies serve as road blocks to the intuitive mind. Research indicates that precognitive events are often received by an individual well before he is conscious of the reception. Whether or not the individual is conscious of receiving precognition, tests indicate that the message is often received by the subconscious system of the body even before the individual is consciously aware of the event. This reception is evident in the physiological signatures of the body such as skin and heart responses and brain wave activity. Physiological Signatures of Skin and Heart ResponsesSpecial sensors and monitors can detect the level of response in an individual by measuring changes in the electrical activity of the skin and the speed of heart rate. Emotional and violent images have been shown to increase galvanic skin responses and heart activity while, calm images produce none of these effects. Using this technology, Dean Radin, Senior Scientist at the Institute of Noetic Sciences, exposed 109 participants in multiple trials to randomly selected images of calm neutrality or images of a violent, emotional nature. Participants responded with increases in both skin and heart activities several seconds before they were shown emotionally disturbing images. Those exposed to calm images registered no response, suggesting that the body was well aware of the emotional nature of the presentation even before the mind was conscious of it. Physiological Signatures and Brain Wave ActivityRussian scientist Dr. Lutsia Pavlova found that the brain showed unusual electrical activity when receiving ESP signals. Other studies have supported this observation; several studies showed that psychic messages produced changes in the brain waves of the receiver. In one experiment, researchers plotted the brain wave curve that resulted when a subject received an audible tone. Then the researchers arranged for a telepathic person to “send” a silent message to the receiver. What was interesting was that the receiver responded to the ESP signal with brain waves identical in formation to the brain wave curves elicited by sound. Somehow, on the subconscious level, the receiver knew he was receiving a message even though consciously he had not acknowledged that to be the case. At the level of the autonomic system of the body, the individual knew it was receiving information that had escaped the conscious mind. Man’s capacity for knowledge, both visible and invisible, is wide and deep. His body’s subconscious and autonomic system is the means by which he can tap into invisible fields of information. This ability is evident in brain wave activity as well as skin and heart responses.
