Humanity's Need to Return to Living in Natural Time
At the moment, according to the Mayan calendar, we are travelling through the 13th baktun cycle. This final period, 1618 - 2012 CE, is known by the Mayans as the " triumph of materialism and transformation of matter". They predicted this would be a time of great forgetting in which humanity drifts far from its sense of "oneness" with nature.
Error in Time
An important point to note, is that we entered this cycle right after Pope Gregory XIII introduced the 12-month calendar system in 1582 and the introduction of the 12-hour, 60-minute mechanical clock in 1600. According to Valum Votan; "these two instruments are what manifested humanity's error in time, following artificial instruments of time that served to separate man from the rest of nature, operating by our own false timing frequency, to the detriment of the natural world." The natural law of the planet is run by natural time and the man-made frequency of time has caused humanity's alienation from nature.
The 13 Moon Calendar
Physicist Mark Comings reports that "the twelve month calendar has a cycle that is contrary to and out of phase with the natural annual thirteen fold gravitational wave created by the moon's orbit around the earth." For every one time the earth goes around the sun, the moon goes around the earth 13 times. So the Mayans claimed that nature had already divided the year - 13 "moon"ths of 28 days. Nature adheres to this natural time; it is worth mentioning that women's fertility cycle averages the 28-day, 13-moon cycle. To the Mayans, the number 13 is a galactic prime number. They believed that time was a mental rather than physical state and because of this, humans have the power to control time
The 12-month calendar dates back to Babylon. The template is 360 degrees of a flat circle proportioned into 12 subsections of 30 degrees each. This gives us 30-day months. The 12-month model for measuring time fails because a 365-day year divided into 30-day months leaves five extra days. The 13th moon is hidden by the 12-month calendar. In society today the number 13 is surrounded by superstition and is considered evil, unlucky and taboo.
The Mayans predicted a time of great forgetting and the triumph of materialism. The introduction of the 12-month calendar and the mechanical clock separated humanity from nature by creating a false timing frequency. The 13-moon calendar was already in place; created by nature at the dawn of time. In order to survive, humanity must return to living in this natural time.
