Sylvia Browne insists that man should have no fear of death. What she has learned from thousands of regressive hypnosis sessions is that there is life after death, and death is not nearly as traumatic as birth. It is often assumed that the other side is "up there." Sylvia Browne insists that the other side is right here, sitting some 3 feet above the three-dimensional world. People attuned to seeing spirits often describe them as floating; that's because they are moving slightly above ground. The truth is people are "ghosts" moving in the world of the spirits. The other side cannot be perceived by human eyes because it is another dimension whose vibrational frequency is much higher than that of the 3 dimensional world.

Children Have Past-Life Memories of the Other Side
Young children have past life memories because their experience of the other side is still recent. Sylvia Browne's own 3 year-old son, Chris, claimed he was a cowboy who had been shot in the stomach. In the years following, Chris developed unexplained chronic stomach pains. One night, while Chris slept, Sylvia Browne told him to release his past-life memories and that his stomach was fine. Chris was never bothered by stomach pains again (104-5).
Sylvia Browne's vision of life after death in The Other Side and Back motivates her readers to be more consciously aware of their own lives on earth; such awareness allows them to see beyond the visible world to a cosmic and spiritual purpose.
