Alternative Spirituality"alternative"?
This archived discussion is "read only" due to the absence of an active Feature Writer/moderator for this topic. « Previous 1 2 3 4 Next » » hawknut - No alternative .Sorry for posting this here, but I had no alternative. . Looks like the M&S 'forum' was shut down by Suite last night. Does anyone have any idea why? . I hope the shut down isn't permanent - cuz I really want to finish discussion of the last three chapters in the Book of Acts. . Pink? Anyone? . -- posted by hawknut » pink101 - No alternative In response to No alternative posted by hawknut:. I think it is an upgrade. . I have posted three comments over there. . Apparently they are having some problems putting the software to work while they work out the glitches. In one of my posts I used the word, p***ages, and it was edited to be p***ages. I can only get in over there one time. The new set up looks like it may be a little more user friendly. . That would be pa,s,s,ages. . :) . -- posted by pink101 » pink101 - Looks Like .It looks like you have to close your connection to Suite101.com and, then, close down your browser. Then when I log on the the 'Net, it can get in by clicking on "join the latest discussions" befor I open any thread. I'm sure it's a temporary problem created by some new programming language that needs to get the bugs worked out. . I think the constant hassling and the attempts to close down any thread might eventually result in Suite101 just closing the general discussion area down all together. After all, there are only a handfull of people who participate. It seems like there has been a concerted effort to put the suite out of business ever since it passed into new management. Too bad, as far as I'm concerned. There was a lot of promise here. . -- posted by pink101 » hawknut - Looks Like In response to Looks Like posted by pink101:. Yikes, I hope they wait until we finish the last three chapters in Acts - if they're intending to close the down general discussions area. . By 'close' my connection with Suite, do you mean 'sign out'? . Man, this font size is reeaally small. . -- posted by hawknut » pink101 - Then Again In response to Looks Like posted by hawknut:. At present, I close my connection--either by clicking on the "X" in the top right corner of my screen or though just closing using hte exit under file. Then if my browser is still open, I close it. . And, it doesn't make sense why this works, but if I open up in a different browser, I can usually open the thread. I have two browsers, the Internet Explorer and Mozilla. If one doesn't work, the other usually does. That must have something to do with cookies; but, I don't know for sure. Just guessing. . But, I keep noticing new additions by the programmer. They must be working on it as we post. . This post went through without me getting the error message. I was able to reopen it and add this last comment. You might notice that when you edit your post, instead of just reposting the correction, there is a button below that says, "Update Now". That is a new feature. Neat!! . . Then, again, maybe it is just that this site has been fixed and the "Mind and Soul" site is still being worked on. . -- posted by pink101 » spiritalk - "Alternative" religion/spirituality?
